French
We have completed our first French conversation year.
We discuss various subjects in class, in French of course, we do a bit of grammar, we have little exercises on those awkward pronouns, homework when our imagination can run riot.
Our tutor even produced a map and we had to give directions in French how to get from A to B.
In my case it was the Station to the Public Conveniences — but alas, I was holding the map upside down. But as you can guess, we have a brilliant time and the good do their best to drag the poor along….
What does concern me however is that the waiting list has grown. (There are 10 in our class which is the limit for one teacher—one house).
We have located a second teacher, a French lady who we know will be very patient.
We need a host and a co-ordinator and possibly just three more names on the list and this second group could be going! I am very willing to advise how we operate and one day perhaps we could have a French debate; Group1 v Group 2. I’ve already thought of a subject: “The French love the English because..”
